|
Formed in the Spring of 2009 after 25 members graduated from the Missouri Master Naturalist training program, the Lake of the Ozarks Chapter was the tenth in Missouri. 29 graduates joined the chapter after the training classes held in 2010, and 26 more after the 2011 class. We currently have over 70 active members. We share a common interest in nature and in volunteering to help protect, preserve and restore Missouri's natural heritage. Our members live around the Lake of the Ozarks area and come from Camden, Miller & Morgan counties. We operate according to the bylaws and operating handbook of the Missouri Master Naturalist Program developed by the Missouri Department of Conservation and University of Missouri Extension.
